| In
the season 2006-2007 the StarClass series was for
the first time held. It consisted of 4
competitions in the categories Ladies and Men. The
competitions were hosted in Baselga di Pine (ITA),
Reims (FRA), Dresden (GER) and Leeuwarden (NED). The
Overall classification was made up based on the
result of 2 competitions out of the 4. Winners were
Myrtille Gollin (FRA) and Jon Eley (GBR).
In East-Europe the same serie
of competitions was held under the name Danubia
series.
In the season 2007-2008 for
the first time a final was held for which skaters
qualified from the East-Europe Danubia series and
the West-Europe StarClass series in Spisska Nova
Vess. The name was Olympic Candidates Trophy. This
Eureopean Final was very succesfull and got a follow
up in the season 2008-2009 in Amsterdam under the
name Future Champions Trophy.
In 2009-2010 the FCT was
held in Budapest and in 2010-2011 the competition
took place in Munic and the name was changed into
Junior Europa Cup. This name stayed untill the
season 2014-2015 when the name was changed into
Europa Cup. |
